All Things Bright, Beautiful And Boho

Stacey Schwartz | Jun 30, 2016 | No Comments

In this Arlington Condo project, our client was looking for a happy, welcoming, comfortable place to relax and hang out with friends and family. When we met, her family room was filled with a very large (and very lonely) sectional. She wasn’t sure how to furnish the room and how to make everything feel connected given the room’s long layout. Her idea book was full of  bright colors, fun patterns and some bohemian accents. We had a lot of fun creating a dream space that was uniquely hers. You can read all about our design process on the AHI blog post  “Making it her own: Arlington Condo Project”. Be sure to also check out what we did to mix it up in the bedroom.

Upon entry, you are welcomed by a cheerful landing spot for phone and keys and a mirror to check your hair.

Mixing it up in the Bedroom

Flavia Heupel | Sep 17, 2015 | 1 Comment

We just presented designs for a few rooms to a lively young professional in Arlington. She is on top of things – in addition to having a great job and already owning property, she had set aside a furniture budget for her beautiful apartment! I was impressed!

For this job, we provided the designs and all of the recommended items, and our savvy-young-something is doing all of the purchasing herself from retail stores. So she benefits from Arlington Home Interiors’ design experience and fabulous sourcing skills, and saves by doing what we  call “the back end” herself (purchasing, tracking, communicating with vendors, receiving, inspecting, returning if necessary, and installing).

The inspiration photos our client provided us were bold and bright, with shots of color and pattern. We were excited to have a chance to create a feminine space with so much personality.

For her bedroom, we created a bohemian meets modern vibe using a palette of coral, lilac and grey.

A Happy Nursery Project

Flavia Heupel | Jul 23, 2015 | No Comments

Nurseries are so much fun to design! Recently we had the opportunity to work with a client who was expecting a baby girl. She had created a Pinterest board with a few ideas – which was perfect. It quickly gave us a sense of what she was looking for, so went to work to make her vision come to life. Our client knew she wanted the nursery to have a bird theme with a more sophisticated color palette of teal and fuchsia. This is the design board we came up with:

Crisp Office Makeover

Suzanne Manlove | Feb 13, 2012 | No Comments

One of my fabulous long-standing client’s has asked me to make-over her much used office into a more inspiring and comfortable space. We are moving through her house room-by-room. We’re tackling the worksurfaces and file storage with the Ballard Original Home Office desk components. The desks are running along a large picture window and turn the corner for his and hers workspace. We’re putting in tons of smart storage and wall storage to maximize the work area so it’s functional and not cluttered. Read the full article
